Jantarada - Take-out restaurants in Portugal 🍴
One of the things that worries us about the current lockdown period, besides the health risk of course, is the strain it puts on small local businesses. Supporting local companies is always a good idea. It strengthens your community and the money you spend returns to you quicker. But when movement is restricted, local places become your own support.
So, when João Gonçalves of Redlight showed us Dine CPH, we agreed right away that we should adapt it to support our local restaurants too. Thankfully Sebastian Winther made Dine CPH open-source, to make our work a lot easier. And that's how Jantarada came to be.
Now, 6 weeks after launch, we have over 140 restaurants submitted by its owners, spanning across Coimbra, Lisbon, Porto, Aveiro, Leiria, Setúbal and Évora. We also got some good press. And we made it open-source too: Jantarada @ Github.
