About our last year and forward

You may have noticed we’ve been sharing less about us. At the end of 2023 we decided to shake things up at Bloco.

We stopped all client work, stopped writing blog posts, slowed down social media sharing. And we invested our time and savings into our own Android apps. With the end goal of achieving our financial independence through them.

Our main achievements of 2024 were:

• releasing our remake of Caderno, 12 years after its initial release;
• launching a new app, a quick QR code reader called QR Friend.

But besides that, we also fixed a lot of bugs, updated dependencies, improved performance, experimented with our Google Play listings, and did marketing for our now 4 Android apps.

Now we’re back to client work. We can’t live just with our Google Play earnings yet. But we continue devoting considerable time to our apps.

And we’re still deciding how much time we also want to invest in communication. Here, in our blog, on social media, what social profiles to keep, when to finally update our website… Until then, consider this our yearly update. 👋
